I got rip-roaring seasick on my very first ocean cruise! It was absolutely horrible. I had prescription meds for seasickness, but it didn’t even touch it. We entered the Gulf of Mexico during a spring storm and unfortunately, I didn’t know enough to make sure that my cabin was centrally located on the ship. Instead, my cabin was located at the very bow. I can’t remember the last time I was ever so sick.
I called EA+ and they advised me to get to a hospital on dryland as soon as possible. We got to Cozumel and as soon as I got off the ship, I started to feel better, so I did not go to the hospital. Having the support of the EA+ representatives when I was helpless made a huge difference. It felt like somebody cared and I knew that I had a safety net. In the end, I ended up flying home from Cozumel and I probably will never step foot on another ocean-going cruise ship again in my life. But it sure helps to know EA+ had my back.
