We were on a week-long boat and bike excursion in Croatia with friends and neighbors. The third day on the bike, I was hit from behind by a car traveling about 45 miles per hour. I was knocked unconscious and suffered abrasions and a brain bleed. I was taken to a hospital in Sebinek in a different city. I spent the first night in the ICU and later moved to a surgical room.
My husband contacted EA+ and they were engaged instantly. I was released by the Croatian doctor to fly on the 21st of September. The EA+ medical staff did not agree with flying after a brain bleed and put us up in a beautiful hotel for 3 days so that I did not travel for ten days post-accident. They also took care of arranging for our trip home in business class where I was able to comfortably sleep most of the flight home. I now encourage everyone who will listen to enroll in EA+ due to the outstanding service I received in a foreign country during a very stressful time.
